Bio J.S. Gilbert has been active in the Bay Area for over 25 years. His work has bridged over from special events to the advertising community to technology to video games and the hospitality industry. Currently, J.S. produces audio for commercials, branding, the internet, interactive and the gaming industry. In this capacity he occasionally writes radio and t.v. spots and corporate pieces, as well as cast, direct and record talent. He has also personally been voice talent on over 300 video games, including Twisted Metal: Black, Extermination, Reader Rabbit, Leapfrog’s Ratatouille series, Sam and Max and Bone. J.S. directed audio for WEbzen's Huxley and Sun: Sould of the Ultimate Nation as well as cast and produced audio for Destination Reading for Houghton Mifflin/ River Deep. J.S. Has also been featured as voice talent on numerous commercials, including McDonald’s, Armor All, Clorox, Chevy’s. J.S. has also written and produced spots for local car dealerships, restaurants, retail establishments, as well as spots for Wells Fargo, Denny’s Restaurants and many others. J.S. Helped produce audio for Peter Norton’s P.C. Guru and was audio lead for River Deep/ Houghton Mifflin’s Destination Reading program. J.S. produces the Gilbert e-newsletter, which is an extensive resource to monthly Bay Area events, mixers and other items of interest to the Creative Community. J.S. is on the Board of Directors for BAARC (Bay Area Advertising Relief Committee), and is a member of the Professional Advisory Committee at the Art Institute of California. J.S. is also a contributor to Create Magazine and is on their West Coast Advisory Board. J.S. has also written extensively for other publications on advertising, gaming, technology and convergence. He is the recipient of many awards, including SF Ad Club’s President’s Award, AV Video Magazines Top 100 Producers List, ADDYS, Tellys, and others. J.S. can be reached at jsgilbert@pacbell.net
